Pth 30 Tablet 10

PTH 30 Tablet is used for:

• Managing secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis

• Controlling hypercalcaemia in people diagnosed with parathyroid carcinoma

• Reducing severe hypercalcaemia in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism who are unable to undergo surgery for parathyroidectomy

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Follow the dose recommended by your doctor.

• Never alter the dosage without consulting your doctor.

PTH 30 Tablet is taken orally.

PTH 30 Tablet contains cinacalcet (30 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Calcimimetic Agent: Cinacalcet mimics the action of calcium on receptors found in your parathyroid gland, known as calcium-sensing receptors.

• Parathyroid Hormone Regulation: By acting like calcium, cinacalcet reduces the secretion of PTH from your parathyroid glands.

• Controls Calcium and Phosphorus Levels: Lowering PTH levels results in decreased levels of serum calcium and phosphorus in your body.

• Store PTH 30 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Ensure that the Tablet is kept out of reach of children at all times.

• Remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• For those with hyperparathyroidism or kidney disease, maintain a balanced diet with an appropriate intake of calcium and phosphorus. Consult your doctor for specific dietary guidelines.

• Regular physical activity can help manage calcium levels in your body. Try to incorporate light exercises like walking or cycling into your daily routine, as advised by your doctor.
