Megamentin 375 Tablet 10 is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.

Uses of Megamentin 375 Tablet 10 are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats pneumonia, sinusitis and bronchitis.
• Ear Infections: Treats susceptible bacterial ear infections.
• Urinary Tract Infections: Treats susceptible bacterial urinary tract infections.
• Dental Abscesses: Manages dental infections.
• Skin, Bone and Joint Infections: Treats susceptible infections such as cellulitis, and bone or joint infections.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.

Megamentin 375 Tablet 10 works in the human body in the following ways:

• Amoxicillin (250 mg): It works by inhibiting penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), required for the synthesis of peptidoglycans (the main component of bacterial cell walls). In the absence of a rigid cell wall, the bacterial cells undergo lysis, causing cell death.
• Clavulanic acid (125 mg): This component enhances amoxicillin’s effectiveness by binding to beta-lactamase enzymes produced by certain resistant bacteria that would otherwise neutralise amoxicillin.

• Keep Megamentin 375 Tablet 10 in a tightly closed container.
• Store the medicine at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.
• Avoid exposure to light and moisture.
