Levobact 500 Tablet 10

Levobact 500 Tablet is used to treat certain bacterial infections, including pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, prostate gland infections, and skin or soft tissue infections. It is also used for the treatment of traveller’s diarrhoea caused by susceptible bacteria, when prescribed based on clinical judgement.

Here are a few instructions to follow while taking Levobact-500 Tablet:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Levobact-500 Tablet is taken orally.

Levobact-500 Tablet contains levofloxacin (500 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Bacterial Enzymes: Levofloxacin works by blocking specific bacterial enzymes known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes play a vital role in the replication, transcription, and repair of bacterial DNA.

• Prevents Bacterial Multiplication: By inhibiting these enzymes, levofloxacin effectively prevents the bacteria from multiplying and spreading across your body.

• Leads To Bacterial Death: As a result of these actions, levofloxacin eventually leads to the death of the bacteria, thereby helping manage the infection.

• Store your Levobact-500 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.

• Keep it in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Ensure that you store it in a place out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date on the packet and make sure you use the medication before it expires.

• If you have a urinary tract infection, increase your fluid intake. Drinking plenty of water can help flush bacteria out of your system and speed up recovery.

• If you're managing a respiratory tract infection, avoid smoking or being around smoke as it can worsen your condition and slow down healing.
