Levobact 500mg Tablet is used to treat certain bacterial infections in adults, including pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, and skin or soft tissue infections.

Uses of Levobact 500mg Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinus infections.
• Urinary and Prostate Infections: Clears urinary tract infections and prostate gland infections.
• Skin Infections: Treats skin or soft tissue infections.
• Traveller's Diarrhoea: Treats travellers' diarrhoea caused by susceptible bacteria when prescribed based on clinical judgement.

Levobact-500 Tablet contains levofloxacin (500 mg), which acts on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Bacterial Enzymes: Levofloxacin works by blocking specific bacterial enzymes known as DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes play a vital role in the replication, transcription, and repair of bacterial DNA.

• Prevents Bacterial Multiplication: By inhibiting these enzymes, levofloxacin effectively prevents the bacteria from multiplying and spreading across your body.

• Leads To Bacterial Death: As a result of these actions, levofloxacin eventually leads to the death of the bacteria, thereby helping manage the infection.

• Store your Levobact-500 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C and 30°C.

• Keep it in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Ensure that you store it in a place out of reach of children.
