Levesam 500 Tablet is used to control several types of seizures in people with epilepsy, on its own for focal seizures or together with other medicines for other seizure types.

Uses of Levesam 500 Tablet are:

• Focal (Partial) Seizures: Helps control focal seizures, with or without spread to the whole brain.
• Myoclonic Seizures: Used with other medicines to control sudden muscle jerks, such as in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.
• Generalised Tonic-clonic Seizures: Used with other medicines to control this type of generalised seizure.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Levesam 500 Tablet is taken orally.

Levacetam 500 Tablet contains the following component:

• Levetiracetam (500 mg): It is an anticonvulsant that modulates neurotransmitters in the brain and primarily targets gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which regulates brain excitability. It also calms down the nerves by controlling the flow of calcium, a chemical that affects how nerves communicate. Doing this reduces the chances of nerves getting too excited and causing seizures. By modulating neurotransmitters and calcium channels, this tablet aims to control and reduce the frequency and intensity of seizures.

• Levesam 500 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.
