L Hist Mont Syrup is used in children to relieve allergic symptoms and reduce airway inflammation linked to hay fever, allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria.

Uses of L Hist Mont Syrup are:

• Allergic Rhinitis and Hay Fever: Relieves a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching and watery eyes.
• Allergy-Induced Asthma: Eases nasal congestion and airway inflammation to support easier breathing.
• Chronic Urticaria: Helps manage red, itchy welts caused by chronic hives.

Give L-HIST Mont Syrup to your child as outlined below:

• Use the provided measuring cup to ensure the correct dose.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• This medicine can be given with or without food.
• This medicine is sugar-based and requires caution if your child has diabetes. Please consult your doctor before giving this syrup to your diabetic child.
• Always remember to close the bottle tightly after use.
• After giving your child this medicine, monitor them if they are performing activities that require alertness, as the syrup may cause drowsiness or dizziness.

L-HIST Mont Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This potent second-generation antihistamine works by selectively binding to H1 receptors in your child's body. It effectively reduces inflammation, itching, runny nose, and other allergy symptoms by blocking histamine, a key chemical that triggers allergic reactions.
• Montelukast (4 mg): This cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist blocks another group of inflammatory mediators, called leukotrienes, by binding to CysLT1 receptors in your child's body. It reduces bronchoconstriction, inflammation, and mucus secretion in the airways, which helps prevent asthma attacks and relieve asthma symptoms.

The combined action of levocetirizine and montelukast in L-HIST Mont Syrup provides effective relief of both upper and lower respiratory allergies as well as dermatological allergic conditions.
