Insugen-R Injection is used for the following:

• Management of type 1 diabetes mellitus: This condition, often diagnosed in children and young adults, requires daily insulin injections to maintain normal glucose levels.

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus: This disease, typically diagnosed in adults, sometimes necessitates insulin injections when other treatment methods are insufficient.

Administer your Insugen-R Injection as follows:

• Always clean the injection site with an alcohol swab before injecting.

• Administer this medicine by subcutaneous injection, meaning into the fatty layer just below your skin.

• Rotate the injection sites within the same region to reduce the risk of skin changes or irritation.

• Inject Insugen-R Injection around 30 minutes before meals to help control post-meal blood glucose levels.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on when and where to inject.

Insugen-R Injection is administered subcutaneously.

Insugen-R Injection comprises two active ingredients:

• Human Insulin/Soluble Insulin (40 IU): This component acts by lowering blood sugar levels. It achieves this by boosting the uptake of glucose in the body, mainly by skeletal muscles and fat tissues, while simultaneously reducing the production of glucose in the liver. Human insulin also inhibits the breakdown of fats and proteins and enhances protein synthesis. Essentially, it mimics the natural secretion of insulin in the body after meals.

• M Cresol (0.25%): This ingredient is primarily used as a preservative to maintain the potency and stability of the insulin.

• Keep unopened vials of Insugen-R Injection in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C. Avoid freezing it.

• Once opened, store the vials under 25°C, away from direct heat and light.

• Use the opened vial within 4 weeks.

• Keep the medicine out of children's reach.

• Always check the expiry date before administering this medicine.

• Since Insugen-R Injection manages diabetes, you should consume a balanced diet low in sugars and carbohydrates. This helps control your blood sugar levels.
