CompositionHifenac Tablet is used to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing aceclofenac 100mg, which belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs).
This medicine is also used for short-term relief of other pain, such as back pain, sprains, dental pain and painful periods. It reduces the production of chemicals that cause pain and inflammation. Take it after food with a glass of water, at the lowest dose that works and for the shortest time needed, as prescribed.
Gentle, regular exercise, keeping a healthy weight, and using warm or cold compresses can help ease joint and muscle pain.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have had stomach ulcers or bleeding, heart disease or a stroke, high blood pressure, asthma, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take, including blood thinners and other painkillers. It is not recommended during pregnancy, especially late pregnancy, or while breastfeeding. Seek medical help if you notice black stools, vomiting of blood, chest pain or sudden weakness. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
