Herpikind 800 Tablet is prescribed to manage infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus, including genital herpes. It also helps in reducing symptoms and speeding up the healing process for conditions like Herpes zoster (shingles) and Varicella zoster virus infections (chickenpox). Additionally, it aids in managing Herpes labialis, commonly known as cold sores.

To use Herpikind-800 Tablet effectively, follow these steps:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

Herpikind-800 Tablet contains aciclovir (800 mg) which interacts with your body as follows:

• Conversion into Triphosphate: The aciclovir in Herpikind-800 Tablet is converted into aciclovir triphosphate by certain enzymes present in both viral and cellular structures.

• Inhibition of DNA Polymerase: Aciclovir triphosphate inhibits an enzyme called viral DNA polymerase which is fundamental for the replication of the virus.

• Incorporation into Viral DNA: The transformed aciclovir triphosphate gets incorporated into the viral DNA. This interrupts the chain of DNA formation and thus hinders viral replication.

These mechanisms collectively contribute to slowing down the growth and spread of the herpes virus within your body.
