Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 is used to manage chronic heart failure. It is a single-ingredient soluble guanylate cyclase stimulator medicine containing vericiguat.

This medicine is used in adults with symptomatic chronic heart failure and an ejection fraction below 45% to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalisation due to heart failure following a hospitalisation for heart failure or the need for outpatient intravenous diuretics.

Reducing salt and following an activity plan advised by your doctor can support heart and blood pressure management alongside this medicine.

Before starting, tell your doctor about your medical conditions and allergies. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report persistent or serious side effects to your doctor. Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 is used to manage chronic heart failure.

Uses of Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 are:

Chronic Heart Failure: Used in adults with symptomatic chronic heart failure and an ejection fraction below 45% to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalisation due to heart failure following a hospitalisation for heart failure or the need for outpatient intravenous diuretics.

Follow these instructions while taking Gantra 5mg Tablet 14:

Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Take the medicine with food.
Take the medicine at approximately the same time each day.
Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor.

Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 is taken orally.

Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 may cause some side effects that are usually mild and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine.

Cardiovascular: low blood pressure.
Nervous system: dizziness, headache.

It works by increasing cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels, which helps relax blood vessels, improve blood flow, support heart function, and reduce stress on the heart in patients with chronic heart failure.

Pregnancy

Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 should not be used during pregnancy unless specifically advised by your doctor. This medicine may cause harm to the developing baby. Inform your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy during treatment.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment with Gantra 5mg Tablet 14. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine while breastfeeding.

Alcohol

Heart failure with marked fluid depletion: Patients with dehydration or reduced circulating volume may have a higher risk of symptomatic hypotension during treatment.

Daily Dose

Take Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may be adjusted gradually depending on blood pressure, tolerability, clinical response, and heart failure status. Continue treatment regularly along with other prescribed heart failure therapies.

Over Dose

Overdose of Gantra 5mg Tablet 14 may increase the risk of severe hypotension, dizziness, fainting, weakness, or cardiovascular complications. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

Missed Dose
