FOLISURGE 150 INJECTION 1 is used for the following:

• Treatment of female infertility

FOLISURGE 150 INJECTION 1 is administered subcutaneously.

FOLISURGE 150 INJECTION 1 contains follitropin beta (150 IU), which works on the body as follows:

• Stimulates follicular development: Follitropin beta mimics the action of natural follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), encouraging the growth and maturation of ovarian follicles in women undergoing fertility treatments.

• Promotes estrogen production: As the ovarian follicles grow under the influence of follitropin beta, they produce increasing amounts of estrogen, which is essential for preparing the body for ovulation and successful implantation.

• Supports spermatogenesis in men: In males with fertility issues, follitropin beta stimulates the Sertoli cells in the testes, promoting the production and maturation of sperm.

• Controlled stimulation: Being a recombinant (laboratory-made) form of FSH, follitropin beta allows for precise and consistent dosing, minimizing the risks of overstimulation compared to naturally sourced hormones.
