Floxip 250 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, gastrointestinal system, and genital tract. It helps control bacterial growth, reduces fever, and supports recovery from infection.
It belongs to a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. Take it as prescribed, with plenty of water, and complete the full course even if your symptoms improve early, to help clear the infection and to help prevent antibiotic resistance.
Drinking plenty of fluids and getting adequate rest can support your recovery while on antibiotic treatment. Avoid taking this medicine together with dairy products, antacids, or iron and calcium supplements, as these can reduce its absorption; space them a few hours apart if needed.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have epilepsy, kidney problems, a history of tendon disorders, or are taking other medicines. Contact your doctor if you notice tendon pain or swelling, or signs of an allergic reaction such as rash or difficulty breathing. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
