Femcinol-A Gel is used to treat acne vulgaris by reducing bacterial growth and calming skin inflammation, helping minimise pimples, redness, and swelling and reducing the formation of new acne lesions.

Uses of Femcinol-A Gel are:

• Acne Vulgaris: Reduces bacteria and inflammation associated with acne breakouts.
• Reduction of Acne Lesions: Helps reduce inflammatory acne lesions during treatment.
• Breakout Prevention: Helps prevent new pimples with continued use.

Follow these steps while using Femcinol-A Gel:

• Make sure the affected area of your skin is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the prescribed amount of gel to the affected area once daily.

• Avoid contact with your eyes, lips, and other sensitive areas. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Wash your hands before and after applying the gel to prevent spreading bacteria.

Femcinol-A Gel contains two active ingredients:

• Clindamycin (1%): As part of the lincosamide antibiotic group, clindamycin fights against Propionibacterium acnes, a type of bacteria found in sebaceous follicles and comedones on the skin. By decreasing these bacteria colonies and free fatty acid levels on the skin, it helps reduce inflammation caused by acne.

• Nicotinamide (4%): Being the amide form of vitamin B3, nicotinamide serves as an anti-inflammatory agent. It lessens the inflammatory immune response associated with acne. Furthermore, it reduces sebum production - an oily substance that may clog pores and cause acne. It also promotes wound healing by boosting collagen and ceramide synthesis and stimulating skin cell differentiation.

Together, clindamycin and nicotinamide provide enhanced efficacy compared to either ingredient alone in managing both inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions.

• Store Femcinol-A Gel in a cool room, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and high humidity.

• Ensure the tube is tightly sealed after use to prevent exposure to air.
