Feboxa 40 Tablet is used to manage chronic gout and high uric acid.

Uses of Feboxa 40 Tablet are:

• Chronic Gout: Reduces joint pain and swelling caused by uric acid crystal build-up.
• Hyperuricaemia: Lowers excess uric acid in the blood.
• Alternative Therapy: Suitable for adults who cannot tolerate allopurinol.

• Swallow the entire tablet with a glass of water. Try not to split, crush or chew it.

• Remember, it's crucial not to stop taking this medicine suddenly without discussing it with your doctor first.

• Always follow your doctor's advice on the correct dosage and frequency, and don't exceed the recommended dose.

Feboxa 40 Tablet is taken orally.

Feboxa 40 Tablet contains Febuxostat (40 mg). It acts on your body in the following ways:

• Xanthine Oxidase Inhibition: Febuxostat inhibits an enzyme called xanthine oxidase. This enzyme plays a crucial role in converting hypoxanthine to xanthine and xanthine to uric acid.

• Uric Acid Reduction: By inhibiting the activity of xanthine oxidase, febuxostat effectively reduces the production of uric acid in your body. This decrease in uric acid levels helps prevent the formation of uric acid crystals in the joints, which can trigger gout attacks.

• Keep Feboxa 40 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C

• Protect it from direct light, heat, and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Always ensure it's out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Make a note of the expiry date and use the medicine before it.

• Cut down on foods high in purines like red meat, seafood, and alcohol. These can increase uric acid levels in your body which may exacerbate gout.

• Regular exercise can help keep uric acid levels in check. Aim for low-impact activities like swimming or cycling that won't put stress on your joints.
