Eticort 6 Tablet is used to manage a wide range of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, including certain types of arthritis, asthma, severe allergies, inflammatory bowel disease, and skin and eye disorders. It is also used after organ transplants to help prevent rejection.
It contains deflazacort, a corticosteroid. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually with food or milk to reduce stomach upset. Do not stop this medicine suddenly without your doctor's advice, as the dose often needs to be reduced gradually.
Eating a balanced diet low in salt and added sugar, getting enough calcium and vitamin D to protect bone health, and doing regular weight-bearing exercise support safer use of this medicine. Avoid contact with people who have chickenpox or measles if you have not had them before.
Tell your doctor if you have any infections, diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, or mental health concerns before starting. Regular check-ups are important, as long-term use can affect blood sugar, bone strength and blood pressure.
