Etan-G Cream is primarily used for the management of various skin conditions that show a response to corticosteroids. This combination medicine combines a potent corticosteroid with an antibiotic, and is used for short-term management of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions.
The corticosteroid component reduces inflammation, redness and itching, while the antibiotic component clears any bacterial infection present, together relieving both the inflammation and infection.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area, usually once or twice daily as your doctor advises, and use only for the recommended period, since this is a potent steroid preparation that can thin the skin with prolonged use.
Avoid using on the face or in skin folds for extended periods unless specifically directed. Tell your doctor if the skin does not improve, or if you notice thinning, stretch marks or unusual changes in the treated area.
