Erythego Gel is used for the following:

• Management of persistent facial erythema or redness linked with rosacea. Rosacea refers to a chronic skin condition causing redness, flushing, and sometimes spots on the face.

• Reduction of facial flushing associated with rosacea. This refers to a sensation of warmth and noticeable redness in the face.

Follow these instructions while using Erythego Gel :

• Ensure the affected skin area on your face is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of the gel smoothly and evenly to each affected area of your face, such as forehead, chin, nose, and each cheek.

• Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.

• Wash your hands immediately after applying the gel.

Erythego Gel is applied topically.

Erythego Gel contains a single active ingredient, brimonidine (3.3 mg). Here's how it works:

• Alpha-2 Adrenergic Agonist: Brimonidine reduces sympathetic nervous system activity by decreasing the release of neurotransmitters.

• Constricts Blood Vessels: One of the effects of brimonidine is that it causes the blood vessels in your skin to constrict, or narrow. This happens because brimonidine activates the alpha-2 receptors in the blood vessels.

• Reduces Blood Flow: With the blood vessels narrowed, less blood flows to the surface of your skin. This helps to reduce the redness and flushing associated with rosacea.

• Skin Appearance: As a result of these actions, brimonidine helps to manage the visible symptoms of rosacea, making your skin appear less red and flushed.

• Store Erythego Gel at room temperature, ideally below 30°C, away from direct sunlight.

• Keep the container tightly closed when not in use to avoid exposure to air and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Use Erythego Gel prior to the expiry date clearly marked on the packaging.

• Regular physical activity can help manage rosacea symptoms. It's important to cool down after exercise since heat can trigger rosacea flare-ups.

• Limit consumption of spicy foods and alcohol, as they can dilate your blood vessels, increasing redness on your face.
