Switglim M 2/500 Tablet 15

Switglim M Tablet is used in adults to control high blood sugar in type 2 diabetes when a single medicine does not provide adequate control.

Uses of Switglim M Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes Control: Helps lower and maintain healthy blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.
• Glycaemic Stability: Supports steadier blood sugar control through the day with the sustained-release formulation.
• Long-Term Diabetes Management: Helps maintain blood sugar control, which may reduce the risk of long-term complications.

If any side effect does not improve or becomes serious, speak to your doctor. Do not stop taking the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.

• Take Switglim M 2/500 Tablet 15 exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with a meal (usually breakfast or your first main meal).
• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.
• Do not skip meals while taking this medicine, as this may increase the risk of low blood sugar.
• Do not change the dose or stop the medicine on your own. Always talk to your doctor first.

Switglim M 2/500 Tablet 15 is taken by mouth (orally).

Switglim M 2/500 Tablet 15 combines two diabetes medicines, Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin 500 mg:

• Glimepiride (2 mg) helps your pancreas release more insulin.
• Metformin (500 mg) lowers the sugar your liver makes, reduces the sugar absorbed from food, and helps your body use insulin better.

Together, they help control blood sugar levels.

• Store Switglim M 2/500 Tablet 15 below 25°C, in a dry place away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
• Return any unused or expired medicine to your pharmacist for safe disposal.

• Eat balanced, regular meals that are low in sugar and high in fibre. Do not skip meals.
• Be active. Regular walking or cycling improves how your body uses insulin.
• Maintain a healthy weight, limit alcohol consumption and monitor your blood sugar as advised by your doctor.
