• Thiazides and Corticosteroids like hydrochlorothiazide or prednisolone may reduce the blood sugar-lowering effect of the medicine.
• Oral contraceptives and Estrogen, such as ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel, can decrease the hypoglycaemic effect of Switglim M 1/500 Tablet 15.
• H2 blockers such as cimetidine can increase metformin levels in your body, enhancing its action.
• Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors like acetazolamide can increase the risk of lactic acidosis when used with metformin in Switglim M 1/500 Tablet 15.

• High-Fat diet: This can decrease the absorption of metformin, reducing its effectiveness.

• Kidney disease: If you have kidney problems, this tablet can accumulate in your body, posing a risk for lactic acidosis.
