Erox CV 500/125mg Tablet is a medicine used to treat various bacterial infections, including infections of the respiratory tract, ear, sinus, urinary tract, skin, and bones. It contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, and belongs to the class of penicillin antibiotics with a beta-lactamase inhibitor.
Amoxicillin stops bacterial growth by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall, while clavulanic acid protects it from being broken down by resistant bacterial enzymes, together helping stop bacterial growth and supporting recovery from infection symptoms.
Take this medicine with food as prescribed to reduce stomach discomfort. Complete the full prescribed course, even if you feel better earlier, to maximise the chance of cure and reduce antibiotic misuse.
Tell your doctor if you have a known allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, or if you have liver or kidney conditions. Inform your doctor immediately if you develop severe diarrhoea, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or a widespread skin rash.
