Emty Peg Solution 100ml

Emty Peg Solution is used for supporting constipation or to cleanse the bowel before medical procedures like colonoscopy. It contains Polyethene Glycol (PEG) along with electrolytes like Potassium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Sodium Chloride. PEG works by retaining water in the intestines, softening the stool and promoting smooth bowel movements without causing cramps. The added electrolytes help maintain the body’s fluid and mineral balance during the cleansing process, managing dehydration and electrolyte loss. 

• Polyethene Glycol: Commonly called PEG, this is an osmotic laxative that works by holding water in the stool, making it softer and easier to pass. It’s widely used for managing constipation or to clear the bowels before medical procedures like colonoscopies.
   
• Potassium Chloride: This supplies potassium, an essential electrolyte that helps maintain the body’s fluid balance and supports normal nerve and muscle function. It replaces potassium that might be lost when using a laxative.
   
• Sodium Bicarbonate: Also known as baking soda, this helps neutralise excess stomach acid and maintains the pH balance in the intestines during bowel cleansing. It also acts as a buffering agent.
   
• Sodium Chloride: Commonly known as salt, it provides sodium, another key electrolyte that helps maintain hydration, fluid balance, and normal muscle and nerve function. It works with other salts in the formula to manage dehydration when stool water content increases.

• Constipation Relief: Emty Peg is commonly used to relieve occasional or chronic constipation. The Polyethene Glycol in it draws water into the bowel, softening hard stools and making them easier to pass gently without causing cramps.
   
• Bowel Cleansing for Colonoscopy: Before a colonoscopy, doctors often prescribe Emty Peg Solution to thoroughly clean out the intestines. This ensures the doctor has a clear view of the colon lining during the procedure, helping detect any problems accurately.
   
• Bowel Preparation Before Surgery: Emty Peg Solution is sometimes used before intestinal or rectal surgery to empty the bowel. This lowers the risk of infection and helps surgeons operate with a clean field.
   
• Helps with Electrolyte Balance: Unlike some harsh laxatives, Emty Peg contains balanced electrolytes like sodium and potassium, which help maintain fluid and mineral balance in the body during the cleansing process, reducing the risk of dehydration.
   
• Gentle Bowel Regulation: It’s also used to help manage certain bowel conditions where gentle, regular emptying of the colon is needed under a doctor’s guidance.

Adults, Adolescents, and Elderly:
 

• Take 25 ml of the solution diluted in 100 ml of water. 
• Taken 1–3 times daily in divided doses. 
• Adjust according to individual response. 
• Extended Use: 1 or 2 doses daily
• Each dose: 25 ml solution diluted in 100 ml of water. 
   

Children Ages 2–6 years:
 

• Usual starting dose: 12.5 ml solution diluted in 50 ml of water
• May be increased up to 62.5 ml as directed. 
   

Children Ages 7–11 years:
 

• Usual starting dose: 25 ml solution diluted in 100 ml of water or as directed by a physician. 

• Read the label carefully before use.
• Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
• This product must be diluted in water before use.
• Do not refrigerate or freeze.
• Discard product 30 days after first opening.
• Diluted solution should be kept covered.
• Discard diluted solution if not used within 24 hours.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Pregnant or lactating women and people with other medical conditions should consult a doctor before using.
