Emigo Oral Solution is an antiemetic medicine used to prevent and control nausea and vomiting in children caused by gastroenteritis, surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy.
It contains ondansetron, a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that blocks chemical signals in the brain that trigger vomiting. Measure the exact dose using a proper measuring device and give it as prescribed by the paediatrician.
When a child has nausea or vomiting, adequate hydration is essential. Offer frequent small sips of oral rehydration solutions or water once vomiting settles, and introduce soft, easily digestible foods gradually as tolerated.
Before giving this medicine, inform your doctor if the child has a history of liver disease, heart rhythm abnormalities, or bowel blockage. Do not give extra doses without medical advice. Contact your doctor if vomiting persists despite treatment.
