Emigo Oral Solution is used to manage and prevent feeling sick and vomiting in children undergoing medical treatments or recovering from illness.

Uses of Emigo Oral Solution are:

• Treatment-induced Nausea: Prevents nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
• Post-surgical Vomiting: Controls nausea and vomiting following surgical procedures.
• Gastroenteritis Relief: Eases vomiting associated with stomach infections and gastroenteritis.

Before giving Emigo Syrup to your child, follow these instructions:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Use the provided measuring cup or spoon to measure the correct dose of the syrup.

• Give the syrup orally to your child as instructed by the doctor.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, please consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

• Always keep the bottle tightly capped after use.

Emigo Syrup is given orally.

Emigo Syrup contains ondansetron (2 mg), which works on your child's body as follows:

• Serotonin Blockage: Ondansetron blocks serotonin, a natural chemical in your child's body that triggers nausea and vomiting.

• Receptor Antagonism: Ondansetron acts as an antagonist at serotonin 5-HT3 receptors located in both the small intestine and brain. This means it prevents serotonin from binding to these receptors.

• Vomiting Suppression: By blocking these receptors, ondansetron effectively suppresses the nausea and vomiting reflex triggered during chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery or infections.

• Always store Emigo Syrup at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep the syrup out of your child's reach and sight.

• While managing nausea or vomiting due to chemotherapy or radiation therapy, ensure your child stays hydrated. Encourage them to sip on water, clear broths, or diluted fruit juices frequently.

• If your child is dealing with gastroenteritis, introduce bland foods like rice, toast, or bananas gradually as their condition improves.
