Eldiprost Eye Drops 2.5Ml

Eldiprost Eye Drops 2.5ml are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, helping to protect vision over time.

Uses of Eldiprost Eye Drops 2.5ml are:

• Open-Angle Glaucoma: Helps manage open-angle glaucoma by lowering pressure inside the eye.
• Ocular Hypertension: Helps control raised eye pressure.
• Protecting Vision: Helps protect the optic nerve and preserve vision.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instilling the drops.

• Remove contact lenses before using the drops.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid.

• Hold the dropper above your eye and squeeze one drop into the pocket formed by the eyelid.

• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes after application.

• Press your finger against the inner corner of your eye to prevent drainage.

• Wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting contact lenses.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination.

Eldiprost Eye Drops 2.5ml are instilled topically.

Eldiprost Eye Drops 2.5ml contain two active ingredients:

• Latanoprost (0.005%): This component is a prostaglandin analogue that works by increasing the natural outflow pathway of fluid from inside the eye. It helps reduce intraocular pressure by improving the drainage of aqueous humour through the uveoscleral route.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This ingredient functions as a preservative in the eye drop formulation. It prevents bacterial contamination of the solution by disrupting bacterial cell membranes, which helps maintain the sterility of the eye drops throughout their use.

Eldiprost Eye Drops 2.5ml must be stored as instructed below to maintain its efficacy:

• Store the drops at temperatures below 25°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Store away from direct sunlight.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Maintain regular exercise: Physical activity helps improve blood circulation, which may reduce intraocular pressure (the high eye pressure that damages your optic nerve in glaucoma).

• Limit caffeine intake: Excessive caffeine consumption can temporarily increase eye pressure, so consider reducing coffee, tea, and caffeinated soft drinks if you have ocular hypertension.
