DIABEND MEX30 TABLET 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults by combining two antidiabetic medicines that work through different mechanisms. It helps maintain blood sugar within a healthy range when diet, exercise, and weight management alone are not enough.
It contains gliclazide in a modified-release form and metformin. Take it with breakfast as prescribed. It must be taken with or during the first meal of the day to ensure it works steadily throughout the day and to reduce the chance of blood sugar falling too low.
Regular balanced meals, controlled carbohydrate intake, staying active, and maintaining a healthy weight all help blood sugar management alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you drink alcohol regularly. Because it contains a sulfonylurea, carry a fast-acting glucose source in case blood sugar drops. Tell your doctor if you are unwell with vomiting or dehydration. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
