CompositionDeplatt AV 20 Tablet is used to help prevent heart attacks and strokes in people with heart disease or those at high risk of developing it. It also helps lower the risk of stroke in people who have already had a stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA).
This tablet is a combination of an antiplatelet agent and a statin. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It helps prevent blood clots after a coronary stent has been placed, and works to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides while raising HDL (good) cholesterol. Continue taking it for as long as your doctor advises, even if you feel well.
A diet low in saturated fat, salt and added sugar, along with regular physical activity, can support the cholesterol- and heart-protective effects of this medicine. Avoiding smoking and maintaining a healthy weight are also recommended.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, liver disease, stomach ulcers or other medicines you take. Report any unusual bruising, bleeding, or muscle pain that does not go away, as these should be checked by your doctor.
