Depin 5 Capsule is used to manage high blood pressure and prevent chest pain (angina). It relaxes blood vessels and eases blood flow, making it easier for the heart to pump blood. This lowers blood pressure, reduces heart workload, and helps prevent heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular issues.

Depin 5 Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. It is not meant to be used externally or injected.

Depin 5 Capsule contains nifedipine:

• Nifedipine inhibits calcium ions from entering cells which prevents calcium from binding to specific receptors on muscle cells. By blocking calcium entry into muscle cells, nifedipine causes relaxation of blood vessels.
• The relaxation of blood vessels leads to decreased peripheral resistance decreasing blood pressure.
• Nifedipine also relaxes the coronary arteries, improving blood flow to the heart muscle. This improved blood flow helps relieve chest pain (angina) by reducing the workload on the heart.
• Additionally, nifedipine can be used to manage preterm labour by relaxing the smooth muscles of the uterus.
