DAJIO M1000 TABLET 10 is used for the following:

• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Controlling blood sugar levels

• Improving glycaemic control with diet and exercise

• Lowering risk of heart failure hospitalisation

• Supporting patients with cardiovascular disease

• Helping patients with multiple cardiovascular risk factors

• Reducing excess glucose in the body

• Decreasing glucose production in the liver

• Enhancing insulin sensitivity

• Improving peripheral glucose uptake

Follow these instructions while taking DAJIO M1000 TABLET 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, split, or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine with meals.

• Take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

DAJIO M1000 TABLET 10 is taken orally.

DAJIO M1000 TABLET 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): This component is a selective sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. It works by blocking glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, causing excess glucose to be removed from the body through urine, thereby reducing blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (1000 mg): As a biguanide, metformin decreases glucose production by the liver. It also improves insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake and utilisation in peripheral tissues such as muscles, helping to lower blood sugar levels without causing hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar).

Follow these instructions while storing DAJIO M1000 TABLET 10:

• Store this medication in a tightly closed container below 25°C.

• Brief temperature excursions between 15° and 30°C are acceptable.

• Protect the medicine from moisture and light.

• Keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Monitor your carbohydrate intake and choose foods with a low glycaemic index (foods that raise blood sugar slowly), such as whole grains, legumes, and non-starchy vegetables.

• Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week (like brisk walking) to help improve your body's insulin sensitivity and manage blood glucose levels.
