CO Mupimet Collagen Particles is used for managing the following conditions:

• Heal chronic tunnel wounds

• Bed sores

• Diabetic foot ulcers

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the liquid to the affected areas, usually 2-3 times daily or as directed by your doctor.

• Do the dressing of wound as directed.

• Remember to wash your hands both before and after applying this medicine.

• Be careful not to let the medicine come into contact with your eyes, nose, mouth or any open wounds. If this happens, rinse thoroughly with water.

• Continue using this medication for the full duration prescribed by your doctor, even if the symptoms improve earlier. This is crucial to prevent recurrence of the infection.

CO Mupimet Collagen Particles contains three active ingredients:

• Sterile Collagen Particles: It help promote wound healing by providing a supportive framework for new tissue growth and helping to maintain a moist wound environment.

• Metronidazole (1%): It is a nitroimidazole antibiotic that enters bacterial cells and stops them from making proteins that they need for their survival, ultimately killing them.

• Mupirocin (2%): This component is an antibiotic that temporarily binds to bacterial isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase, blocking the bacteria from making essential proteins which results in inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis and effectively kills the bacteria.

• Preserve CO Mupimet Collagen Particles in a cool, dry place.

• Shield it from direct sunlight.

• Ensure the container remains tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use.

• Always clean wounds promptly with mild soap and water to remove dirt and bacteria. Gently pat dry with a clean cloth.

• Keep wounds covered with a sterile bandage or dressing to prevent exposure to dirt and bacteria. Change the bandage regularly or as advised by a doctor.

• Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before touching or changing wound dressings.
