Clexane 20Mg Injection 0.2Ml

Clexane Injection is used for:

• Preventing deep vein thrombosis, particularly in patients due for orthopaedic or general surgery.

• Avoiding clotting during extracorporeal circulation in haemodialysis.

• Management of established deep vein thrombosis with or without pulmonary embolism.

• Inhibiting clotting in unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, when given alongside aspirin.

• Managing acute ST-segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), which is dealt with medically or with subsequent Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).

Administer Clexane Injection as follows:

• Ensure the injection site is clean and free from infection.

• The injection should be administered subcutaneously (under the skin) or intravenously (into a vein).

• It's crucial to follow your doctor's recommended dosage and duration for this medicine.

• Do not self-inject this medicine unless you have been trained on how to do so by a healthcare professional.

Clexane Injection is administered subcutaneously or intravenously.

Clexane Injection contains Enoxaparin (20 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Enhances Antithrombin III Activity: Enoxaparin enhances the inhibition of Factor Xa and thrombin by Antithrombin III (ATIII). By enhancing ATIII activity, Enoxaparin helps prevent the conversion of prothrombin to thrombin and fibrinogen to fibrin, which are crucial steps in blood clot formation.

• Prevents Thrombus Formation: By inhibiting these coagulation factors, Enoxaparin reduces thrombus formation. This action helps to manage harmful blood clots in your body.

• Provides Higher Anti-Factor Xa Activity: Compared to unfractionated heparin, Enoxaparin has a higher ratio of anti-Factor Xa to anti-Factor IIa activity. This means it's more effective at preventing blood clots.

• Keep Clexane Injection at room temperature, below 25°C.

• Store it in its original packaging to protect it from light exposure.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
