Clavam Bid Dry Syrup 30ml

Clavam BID Dry Syrup is used to treat a range of bacterial infections in children that need a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

Uses of Clavam BID Dry Syrup are:

• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections: Treats infections such as tonsillitis and middle ear infections.
• Respiratory Infections: Treats lung infections like bronchitis and other chest infections.
• Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues.

• It is essential to read the label before taking this medication. 
• To reconstitute the medication, shake the bottle well to loosen the powder. 
• Add the sterile water (supplied with the pack) to the bottle slowly till the ring mark on the bottle. Shake it well, and adjust the volume up to the ring mark. 
• The reconstituted medication should be consumed within 7 days. Any extra portion left should be thrown away.

Clavam Bid Dry Syrup is taken orally.

Clavam Bid Dry Syrup contains two active ingredients: amoxicillin and clavulanic acid.

• Amoxicillin (200 mg): It is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It fights bacteria by stopping them from building their cell walls, killing them. But some bacteria have a tricky defense called beta-lactamases, which can break down Amoxicillin and make it useless.
• Clavulanic Acid (28.5 mg): It is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It binds to the beta-lactamase enzymes, stopping them from destroying Amoxicillin. This makes Clavam Bid Dry Syrup stronger and able to fight off bacteria that normally resist Amoxicillin alone.

• Store Clavam Bid Dry Syrup at a temperature below 25°C.
• Keep the medicine in its original container, tightly closed.
• Protect it from light and moisture by storing it in a cool, dry place.
• Keep Clavam Bid Dry Syrup out of the reach of children.
• Do not use the product after the expiration date mentioned on the packaging.

• Encourage good hygiene practices in your child, including regular handwashing, to prevent the spread of infections.
• If your child is contagious, avoid sending them to school or parks to prevent the spread of the infection.
• Keep a close eye on your child's symptoms and consult a doctor if they worsen or if new symptoms develop.
• If your child has a fever or pain, consult your doctor about appropriate medications or pain relievers suitable for their age and weight. Always follow dosing instructions.
• Ensure your child is up-to-date on recommended vaccinations, as they can help prevent some of the illnesses.
• Make sure your children complete the entire course of antibiotics. If you stop taking them earlier, there is a chance of recurrence of infection. 

• Finish the full course of treatment for the best results.
• Take with food to reduce stomach upset.
• Stay hydrated if diarrhoea occurs.
• Consult a doctor for appropriate treatment.
• Seek medical attention if allergic reactions occur.
