Cetapin P 30/500 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

• Improving glycaemic control in adults who have not achieved adequate blood sugar control with either metformin or pioglitazone alone.

• Enhancing the body's response to insulin.

• Reducing hepatic glucose production.

• Decreasing intestinal glucose absorption.

• Improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues.

Administer Cetapin P 30/500 MG Tablet 10 as follows:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, typically with your evening meal.

• Avoid crushing, splitting, or chewing the tablet.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Don't stop taking this medicine without discussing it with your doctor first.

Cetapin P 30/500 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cetapin P 30/500 MG Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg): This ingredient primarily works by lowering glucose production in the liver and reducing glucose absorption in the gut. It helps improve insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues by activating a protein called AMPactivated protein kinase (AMPK), regulating cellular energy metabolism and glucose uptake.

• Pioglitazone (30 mg): Pioglitazone is a selective agonist of a receptor called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ). It increases insulin sensitivity in fat tissue, skeletal muscle, and the liver, leading to improved glucose use and reduced insulin resistance.

• Store Cetapin P 30/500 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature.
