Cepocef-200 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections by stopping bacterial growth.

Uses of Cepocef-200 Tablet are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats pneumonia, bronchitis and sinusitis.
• Urinary and Skin Infections: Manages cystitis, gonorrhoea and skin and soft-tissue infections.
• Ear and Throat Infections: Treats otitis media, tonsillitis and pharyngitis.

When using Cepocef-200 Tablet, follow these basic guidelines:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

Cepocef-200 Tablet is taken orally.

Cepocef-200 Tablet contains cefpodoxime proxetil (200 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefpodoxime proxetil works by blocking the formation of a critical component of bacterial cell wall called peptidoglycan.

• Weakens and Ruptures Bacterial Cell Walls: By inhibiting the synthesis of peptidoglycan, cefpodoxime proxetil causes the cell walls to become weak and eventually rupture. This leads to bacterial cell death and effectively halts the spread of infection.

• Keep Cepocef-200 Tablet in a cool, dry place.

• Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Ensure it is stored out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use and dispose of any past its expiry date.

• If you're battling a respiratory infection, try to avoid exposure to tobacco smoke, as it can irritate your airways further. Opt for smoke-free environments whenever possible.

• Keep well hydrated especially when managing urinary tract infections. Drinking plenty of liquids, particularly water, can help dilute urine and ensure you urinate more frequently, flushing bacteria out of your system.
