Calcigard-10 Capsule interacts with the following medicines:

• Antihypertensive Agents: When taken with other blood pressure medicines like beta-blockers (propranolol, atenolol) or diuretics (furosemide), Calcigard-10 Capsule may cause excessive lowering of blood pressure.

• CYP3A4 Inhibitors: Medicines like erythromycin and ketoconazole can increase nifedipine levels in your blood, potentially enhancing both its effects and side effects.

• CYP3A4 Inducers: Medicines such as phenytoin and rifampin may decrease the effectiveness of Calcigard-10 Capsule by reducing nifedipine levels in your bloodstream.

• Cardiac Glycosides: Calcigard-10 Capsule might alter the effects of heart medicines like digoxin and quinidine, potentially leading to changes in their effectiveness or increased side effects.

Calcigard-10 Capsule has significant interactions with certain foods.

• Grapefruit Juice: Drinking grapefruit juice whilst taking this medicine can increase nifedipine levels in your blood, potentially leading to enhanced effects and side effects.

Calcigard-10 Capsule interacts with the following diseases:

• Severe Aortic Stenosis: Calcigard-10 Capsule may worsen symptoms in patients with this heart valve condition, potentially causing dangerous drops in blood pressure.

• Cardiogenic Shock: This medicine can worsen this serious heart condition, where your heart cannot pump enough blood to your body.

• Congestive Heart Failure: Calcigard-10 Capsule should be used with caution, as it may worsen heart failure symptoms in some patients.
