Cabotres 40 Tablet is used for the following:

• Treating advanced kidney cancer

• Managing metastatic thyroid cancer

• Treating liver cancer after previous therapy

• Controlling cancer that has spread to other body parts

• Managing cancer that cannot be surgically removed

• Treating thyroid cancer resistant to radioactive iodine

• Controlling liver cancer when standard treatment fails

Follow these instructions while taking Cabotres 40 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals).

• Take at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

• Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet.

• Continue taking it as long as your doctor recommends, even if you feel better.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Cabotres 40 Tablet is taken orally.

Cabotres 40 Tablet contains cabozantinib (40 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Tyrosine kinase inhibition: Cabozantinib blocks multiple proteins called tyrosine kinases that send growth signals to cancer cells, preventing them from multiplying and dividing.

• Anti-angiogenesis effect: It stops the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) that tumours need to grow and survive, effectively cutting off the cancer's blood supply.

• Metastasis prevention: The medicine disrupts specific cellular pathways that cancer cells use to spread (metastasise) to other parts of the body, helping to control cancer progression.

• Multi-targeted approach: Unlike some cancer medicines that target only one pathway, cabozantinib works on multiple cancer growth mechanisms simultaneously, making it effective against various types of advanced cancers.

• Store Cabotres 40 Tablet at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep in the original packaging to protect from light and moisture.

• Store away from direct sunlight.
