Cabliz 0.25 Tablet 2 is used to manage high levels of the hormone prolactin in the body. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing cabergoline, and belongs to a class of medicines called dopamine agonists.
This medicine works by stimulating dopamine receptors in the pituitary gland, which reduces the production and secretion of prolactin, helping to normalise hormone levels. It is also used to stop unwanted breast milk production, such as after stillbirth, miscarriage or when breastfeeding is not intended. Take this tablet as directed by your doctor, usually once or twice a week.
Tell your doctor about any allergy to ergot derivatives, liver disease, or high or low blood pressure, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report any breathlessness, chest pain, or swelling of the ankles or feet to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
