Preventing Peptidoglycan Cross-linkage: By inhibiting PBPs, cefixime prevents the cross-linkage of peptidoglycan chains which are necessary for bacterial cell wall strength and rigidity.
Weakening Cell Wall: The prevention of peptidoglycan cross-linkage weakens the cell wall which then causes the bacteria to eventually lyse due to osmotic pressure.
Bactericidal Action: Cefixime is bactericidal and effectively kills bacteria during their active multiplication stage.
Caution is advised while taking C Tax-O 200 Tablet if you are pregnant. It is best to consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Cefixime, the active ingredient in C Tax-O 200 Tablet, is excreted in breast milk. Therefore, be careful while using this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
