Betafree Eye Drops are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in adults with glaucoma or high eye pressure (ocular hypertension). It is a combination of two glaucoma medicines.
It contains brimonidine and brinzolamide. This medicine lowers eye pressure by reducing fluid production, and one component also increases fluid drainage from the eye; keeping eye pressure controlled helps protect the optic nerve and reduce the risk of vision loss.
Attending all eye clinic follow-up appointments for regular eye pressure monitoring is an important part of glaucoma management. Tell your doctor if your vision changes or if eye symptoms worsen.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney problems or a history of sulfonamide allergy, and about any planned eye surgery. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
