Atoclop 20/75 MG Tablet 10 is used for:

• Preventing heart attacks in individuals with coronary heart disease

• Lowering the risk of stroke in people who have already experienced a stroke or TIA

• Minimising the chances of blood clots after a coronary stent placement

• Reducing LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing HDL cholesterol

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take your medicine at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body.

Atoclop 20/75 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Atoclop 20/75 MG Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients to achieve its effects:

• Atorvastatin (20 mg): This statin works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which is essential for cholesterol production in your body. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin effectively lowers LDL levels and reduces the accumulation of atherosclerotic plaque in the arteries.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): As an antiplatelet agent, clopidogrel prevents platelets from sticking together and forming blood clots. It achieves this by irreversibly blocking the P2Y12 adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor on platelets. This action "thins" the blood, aiding in keeping the arteries open.

• Limit alcohol consumption. Excessive drinking can increase the risk of liver problems and can also increase your blood pressure, potentially countering the beneficial effects of your medication.
