Aromasin 25 Tablet is used in postmenopausal women to treat hormone-sensitive breast cancer, either as continued treatment after tamoxifen or when the disease has advanced despite earlier tamoxifen therapy.

Uses of Aromasin 25 Tablet are:

• Early Breast Cancer: Used as continued (adjuvant) treatment after two to three years of tamoxifen in women with oestrogen receptor-positive tumours.
• Advanced Breast Cancer: Helps manage advanced breast cancer that has progressed after tamoxifen therapy.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, preferably after a meal.

• Do not chew or crush the tablet.

Aromasin 25 mg Tablet is taken orally.

Aromasin 25 mg Tablet contains exemestane (25 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Aromatase Inhibition: Exemestane operates by irreversibly binding to and inactivating aromatase, an enzyme that converts androgens into estrogens in the body.

• Estrogen Reduction: By inactivating aromatase, exemestane significantly lowers circulating estrogen levels. This effectively suppresses the growth of hormone-dependent breast cancer cells by depriving them of the growth stimulation provided by estrogen.

• Store your Aromasin 25 mg Tablet at a cool room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.

• Keep it away from excessive light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.

• Make sure you use Aromasin 25 mg Tablet before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Maintaining a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains can complement your medication.

• Regular exercise can be beneficial too. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity every week. However, consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
