Aricef O Plus Tablet 10

Aricef-O Plus Tablet is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including typhoid fever, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, and skin and soft-tissue infections. This combination antibiotic disrupts bacterial growth and replication for effective clearance of infection, making it useful for tackling skin and soft tissue bacterial infections and managing typhoid fever caused by Salmonella typhi bacteria.

To use Aricef-O Plus Tablet properly, follow these guidelines:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

Aricef-O Plus Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (200 mg): As part of the cephalosporin class of antibiotics, cefixime focuses on inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It binds with and neutralises enzymes responsible for producing peptidoglycan, a crucial component of these cell walls. This action weakens the cell wall causing it to rupture and ultimately resulting in the death of the bacteria.

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): Classified as a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, ofloxacin operates by directly penetrating bacterial cells and blocking DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes. These enzymes are critical for bacteria to duplicate, repair, and transcribe their DNA. By disrupting their function, ofloxacin thwarts bacterial reproduction and stops further spread of the infection.

• Keep Aricef-O Plus Tablet in a tightly closed container.

• Store at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture.

• Make sure it is out of reach of children.
