• Increasing the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water from the body, contributing to a decrease in blood volume

• Improving blood flow through vasodilation, a process where blood vessels dilate or widen

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.

• It is okay to take this medicine with or without food.

• Always follow your doctor's advice.

Amlodac CH Tablet is taken orally.

Amlodac CH Tablet is a combination medication that contains:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): A calcium channel blocker, amlodipine works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the walls of your arteries. This decreases the resistance in your peripheral vascular system, effectively reducing your blood pressure. By blocking the influx of calcium ions into vascular and cardiac muscle. It also leads to vasodilation, improving blood flow.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): As a thiazide-like diuretic, chlorthalidone reduces blood volume by acting on the kidneys to increase the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water. This decreases heart output and blood pressure. Chlorthalidone also relaxes vascular smooth muscle, further contributing to its antihypertensive effect.
