Almin Syrup 100 Ml is used to relieve dry cough with nasal congestion and throat irritation in children during colds and respiratory infections. It is a combination medicine containing phenylephrine (a decongestant), chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine) and dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant).
This medicine also helps relieve allergy symptoms that often come with a cold. Give it using the measuring device provided with the bottle, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Encourage the child to drink plenty of warm fluids and rest well during recovery. Keep the child away from smoke, dust and strong smells, which can worsen cough and throat irritation. As this syrup may cause drowsiness, keep the child away from stairs, cycling and other activities that need alertness until you know how the medicine affects them.
Before starting, tell your doctor if the child has asthma, heart problems, high blood pressure or any other medical condition, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products the child takes. Do not give other cough and cold medicines together with this syrup unless your doctor advises it. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
