Akilos-P Tablet is commonly used for easing pain and inflammation related to osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also manages acute and persistent low back pain, sciatica pain, dental pain, post-operative/post-traumatic pain, and dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation). Additionally, it provides symptomatic relief for headaches and migraines.

Here's how you should take Akilos-P Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It's best not to crush, chew or break the tablet.

Akilos-P Tablet consists of two active ingredients that work synergistically for maximum therapeutic effect:

• Aceclofenac (100 mg): As a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), aceclofenac inhibits enzymes called cyclooxygenases (COX), which play a crucial role in prostaglandin synthesis. Prostaglandins are compounds that contribute to inflammation and pain. By suppressing their production, aceclofenac effectively reduces inflammation and alleviates pain.

• Paracetamol/Acetaminophen (325 mg): The precise mechanism through which paracetamol works is not entirely clear. However, it is believed to act on the central nervous system by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain and spinal cord. Additionally, paracetamol influences the hypothalamic heat-regulating centre to produce an antipyretic effect, reducing fever.

• Store Akilos-P Tablet in a cool, dry place at room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.
