Adaple-C Gel is used to treat acne in people aged 12 and over, reducing pimples, blackheads and whiteheads and helping clear the skin.
It contains adapalene, a retinoid that normalises skin-cell turnover and unclogs pores, and clindamycin, an antibiotic that reduces acne-causing bacteria.
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin at night as prescribed. Use a moisturiser and a daily sunscreen, as it can make the skin more sensitive to the sun.
Do not use it in pregnancy, as retinoids are not suitable then. Expect some dryness and peeling at first. Tell your doctor if irritation is severe, and avoid other harsh acne products on the same area.
