Ada Clyne 0.1/1% Gel 15 Gm is a topical acne treatment used to treat mild to moderate acne, including blackheads, whiteheads and inflamed spots. It is a combination medicine containing adapalene, which unclogs pores and renews the skin, and clindamycin, an antibiotic that reduces acne-causing bacteria, and belongs to classes of medicines called topical retinoids and antibiotics.
This medicine works by helping the skin shed dead cells so that pores stay clear, while reducing the bacteria and inflammation that cause spots. Cleanse and dry the skin, then apply a thin layer to the affected area in the evening, as directed by your doctor.
A little dryness, scaling and mild irritation are common at first, and the skin may become more sensitive to the sun. Using a sunscreen during the day and avoiding excess sun can help alongside this treatment.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, as topical retinoids are generally avoided in pregnancy. Do not use antibiotic gels for longer than your doctor advises, as this can contribute to antibiotic resistance.
