Actorise 25 Mcg Injection is used for the following:

• Treating anaemia in chronic kidney disease

• Managing symptomatic anaemia in adults

• Reducing the need for blood transfusions

• Correcting low red blood cell count

• Supporting red blood cell production

• Managing chemotherapy-related anaemia in cancer patients

• Boosting erythropoietin levels in kidney failure

• Improving oxygen-carrying capacity in the blood

• Relief of fatigue associated with anaemia

Follow these instructions when Actorise 25 Mcg Injection is administered:

• This injection must be given only by a doctor or nurse in a clinical setting.

• The injection can be administered under the skin or into a vein.

• Do not use if the solution appears cloudy or contains particles.

• Consult your doctor about the frequency of administration.

Actorise 25 Mcg Injection is administered intravenously or subcutaneously.

Actorise 25 Mcg Injection contains darbepoetin alfa (0.025 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Erythropoietin receptor binding: Darbepoetin alfa acts as a synthetic version of your body's natural erythropoietin hormone, binding to specific receptors found on stem cells within your bone marrow.

• Stem cell stimulation: Once bound to these receptors, it stimulates the production and development of immature red blood cells in the bone marrow, which is the soft, spongy tissue inside your bones responsible for blood cell formation.

• Red blood cell production: This stimulation increases the overall number of red blood cells circulating in your bloodstream, helping to alleviate the symptoms of anaemia.
