1-AL M Syrup is used in children to relieve allergy symptoms and help prevent allergy-related asthma.

Uses of 1-AL M Syrup are:

• Allergic Rhinitis and Hay Fever: Relieves sneezing, a stuffy or itchy nose, and symptoms from seasonal allergens such as pollen, dust, and mould.
• Skin Allergies and Asthma: Eases itching and hives and helps prevent asthma symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and chest tightness.

Please administer 1-AL M Syrup to your child as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the provided measuring cup or spoon to measure the correct dose of the syrup.

• Ensure that the bottle is tightly capped after use.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic children. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

1-AL M Syrup is given orally.

1-AL M Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This ingredient is a potent antihistamine. It works by specifically blocking histamine H1 receptors in your child's body. These receptors can cause allergy symptoms when stimulated by histamine released during an allergic reaction. By blocking these receptors, levocetirizine helps reduce inflammation and provides relief from itching, sneezing, runny nose, and other allergy symptoms.

• Montelukast (4 mg): This ingredient is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. It works by inhibiting the action of leukotrienes in your child's body. These are inflammatory chemicals that can cause the airways in the lungs to tighten and swell when released. By blocking these leukotriene receptors, especially LTD4 receptors, montelukast helps decrease airway inflammation, relaxes and widens the airways, and improves breathing.

Together, levocetirizine and montelukast in 1-AL M Syrup provide effective control of allergy symptoms by targeting both histamine and leukotrienes.

• Store 1-AL M Syrup in a cool, dry place, ideally at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.

• Shield it from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Do not freeze the syrup.

• Keep the medicine safely out of reach of children.

• Always use it before its expiry date.

• If your child has allergies, try to minimise exposure to allergens like dust, pollen, and pet dander. Regular vacuum cleaning and using air purifiers can help.

• For children with asthma, ensure they engage in regular physical activity suitable for their age, as it may aid lung function. However, always consult your doctor about the type and intensity of exercise that would be appropriate for your child.
