Nicodin Ointment 250gm

Nicodin Ointment is used for reducing the microbial load on the skin. It delivers broad-spectrum antiseptic protection. Containing 5% Povidone-Iodine, it works by releasing iodine gradually, targeting a wide range of pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, yeasts, and protozoa. This makes it suitable for topical application in situations where the skin is compromised due to cuts, abrasions, burns, or infections. 

• Povidone-Iodine (5% w/w, providing 0.5% available iodine): Povidone-Iodine is a stable chemical complex of iodine and polyvinylpyrrolidone. It may help by gradually releasing free iodine upon contact with skin, which interacts with microbial proteins, possibly leading to their inactivation. It might help manage a broad range of pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa. Its slow-release action ensures prolonged antimicrobial effects.
