Expovide 5 % Ointment 25 GM is used to treat common skin infections. It helps prevent and manage infections in minor cuts, scrapes, burns, and abrasions. It also disinfects the skin before and after surgery and is effective in treating skin infections like impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis, and fungal infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, and ringworm.

Follow these instructions while using Expovide 5 % Ointment 25 GM:

• Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry before application.
• Apply the ointment to the affected area using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab.
• The amount of ointment required will depend on the size of the wound or infection.
• Gently massage the product into the skin, covering the entire affected area with a thin layer of ointment.

Expovide 5 % Ointment 25 GM contains povidone-iodine (5%), which acts on the body as follows:

• Slow Release of Iodine: The povidone iodine in Expovide 5 % Ointment 25 GM slowly releases iodine upon application. This iodine subsequently penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms impacting their function.
• Disruption of Microbial Cell Function: Inside these cells, iodine interferes with protein synthesis, oxidises enzymes and membrane components, and disrupts DNA replication. This multi-faceted antimicrobial action leads to cell death, thus preventing the development of infections.
• Wide-Spectrum Antimicrobial Action: Povidone iodine's broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity effectively manages a wide array of pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa.

• Keep The 5% ointment of coldine at room temperature.
• Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use.
• Keep this product out of reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion or misuse.
