Zostum-O 100 Dry Suspension is an antibiotic used to manage bacterial infections in children aged between 2 months and 12 years, including chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute sinusitis, and skin and soft tissue infections.
It contains cefditoren, a cephalosporin antibiotic with a wide range of antibacterial activity. Give it to your child as directed by the doctor, who will decide the dose based on your child's age, body weight, and the severity of the infection.
Giving the suspension with food can help reduce stomach upset, and offering your child plenty of fluids supports recovery during the course of treatment.
Before giving this medicine, tell the doctor about any pre-existing conditions or ongoing medicines your child might have, and any known allergy to cephalosporin antibiotics. Continue giving this medicine for the prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve after a few days, to prevent the infection from recurring.
