Zocef 500 Tablet 10

Zocef 500 Tablet is used to treat a range of bacterial infections, clearing the infection and helping relieve associated symptoms.

Uses of Zocef 500 Tablet are:

• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the tonsils, throat and sinuses.
• Respiratory Tract Infections: Treats bronchitis, pneumonia and other lung infections.
• Urinary and Skin Infections: Treats urinary tract infections and infections of the skin and soft tissue.

• Swallow the entire tablet without crushing or breaking it. 
• Take it with or without food, but it is recommended at a fixed daily time for better results.

Zocef 500 Tablet is taken orally. 

Zocef 500 Tablet 10 composition contains Cefuroxime (500 Mg) as its active ingredients.

Cefuroxime (500 mg): It is a cephalosporin antibiotic that targets the bacterial cell wall, a crucial component for bacterial structure and stability. By disrupting this cross-linking process, Zocef 500 Tablet weakens the strength of the bacterial cell wall. As a result, the bacterial cell becomes structurally unstable. The weakened cell wall eventually breaks down, leading to the rupture and death of the bacterial cell.

The storage instructions for the Zocef 500 Tablet are as follows:

• Zocef 500 Tablet should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• After finishing the entire course of Zocef 500 Tablet, consider taking probiotics to replenish beneficial intestinal bacteria and reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
• Incorporate probiotic-rich foods like yoghurt, cheese, sauerkraut, and kimchi into the diet to promote the growth of healthy gut bacteria.
• Boost your fibre intake with foods easily digested by gut bacteria, helping stimulate their growth.
• Include fibre-enriched foods like whole-grain bread and brown rice in your daily diet to restore a healthy balance of gut bacteria.
• Avoid excessive consumption of calcium-enriched foods and drinks, as they may interfere with the effectiveness of Zocef 500 Tablet.
• Be mindful of the timing of calcium-rich foods and medications, allowing sufficient time between them as your doctor advises.
